Comparison
QuizRoom vs Questgen
A fair reading of both. We have listed the capabilities where they match us, and the one place their approach is simpler.
Where Questgen is genuinely strong
Bulk generation from very long documents is their core competence and they do it well. Their export coverage is broad, their multi-format input handling is solid, and their free tier is real. If all you need is a pile of MCQs out of a PDF, it works.
Where the model stops short
The product ends at export. Nothing verifies that a generated question is defensible, nothing helps you review at volume, and nothing tells you afterwards whether a question was any good. Those tasks get pushed back onto you and your LMS.
What we chose to build instead
We assumed you are accountable for the assessment. So every question carries a citation, every question is scored before you see it, review is designed around a keyboard rather than a mouse, and the loop closes with real item analytics feeding the next paper.
Compiled from Questgen's public marketing pages as of August 2026. Their feature set changes; if a row here is out of date, it is an error rather than a claim, and we will correct it.
